In May 2010 we organised an art exhibition at work. The atrium at Oxfam House is usually filled with displays about various work-related projects or things on sale. For a week we took it over to show what Oxfam staff get up to out of hours. Power Shift flash mob London

I couldn't resist Oxfam's competition challenge to make a video encouraging people to petition for significant action at Copenhagen in December 2009. I realised after a few hours' work that as an employee I wasn't eligible to enter, but by then I'd nearly finished.

Katie's Aunt Lou sprung a challenge on us to put on a performance of Clement C. Moore's "The Night Before Christmas" for her party guests. We hired some local toy thespians and created this stop-motion adaptation in about 30 hours. Merry Christmas! Captain Longjohn's Treasure

Katie's 20th birthday present from me began with a message in a bottle from a retired pirate - Captain Silver Longjohns - who had given up trying to remember where he hid his treasure. The best place to start, he suggested, would be a BBC documentary dedicated to him. "No doubt," he suggested, "it's been put onto YouTube..." The documentary of Longjohns' career is, for the most part, a composite of other YouTube video and sound clips - although I did cast myself in one role... "Saucy" Heinz Ketchup commercial
